The reasons and solutions of galvanized spring steel wire's zinc scaling phenomenon


Based on the interview of customer of galvanized spring steel wire, we collect many information plus the problems appeared during the use. Many customers stated that the zinc layer for the spring steel wire surface offers the scaling phenomenon.

After the research,
find some reasons of this problem and forward some solutions.

Reason 1: the spring steel wire doesn't clean clearly before electroplated.
It's wise the bad combination between zinc and steel wire's surface.
The remedy: when clean the spring steel wire, add to the solution concentration of electrolysis acid-washing and electrolysis alkaline wash, or add to the current of electrolysis acid-washing and electrolysis alkaline wash.

Reason 2: During the electroplating of galvanized spring steel wire, the sedimentation velocity
is way too fast, the surface of zinc layer is way too rough and not dense.
The remedy: at the time of electroplating, after the spring steel wire enter the plating bath, first to utilize low current density plating, then plated rich in current density.

Reason 3:
Utilize the pre-former in an improper way that will cause the scraping of zinc.

The solution:During the rope close of spring steel wire,
you must choose the reasonable pre-former and decrease the zinc scraping of galvanized spring steel wire.
